I got the jerk chicken dinner for take out.

I feel like the portion is a bit smaller than other Caribbean joints but the taste was on point.

I found the jerk chicken a tad bit spicy but then again, I can't take any spice.  When eaten with the the sweet gravy on the rice, it help calm down the spicy level.  There really isn't much Caribbean food around this area so I will be going back to Sunrise whenever my Caribbean craving kicks in.

Today, I decided to explore Carribean food in the city. I had heard about one up in newmarket ( on leslie), so I went ahead with it.
The owner, Bonnie, was very friendly and welcoming.
I ordered the goat curry roti and famous Carribean  pineapple soda. The roti was made to perfection with the lentil/dal filling yummy. Then I made my way to the goat curry filling. The meat was tender and juicy, the potato curry was delicious!

    I thoroughly enjoyed the food
    Highly recommended!

    Thanks
    Mohsin

Amazing food. I ordered the goat curry with rice and I was blown away by the best tasting goat curry I've ever had. Spicy, flavourful and loads of tender goat meat in a rich sauce.  Owners were friendly and we chatted for a few minutes. My only critique were the veggies as I prefer fresh not frozen. I look forward to trying the Jamaican breakfast food - salt fish and ackee- which one must preorder an hour prior to coming. Can't wait!

Food is cheap but good and the attitude is sassy!  I came in to meet up with an employee for lunch.  I had the half rack of Jerk Ribs, succulent, fall off the bone, with just a kiss of heat and great flavour.  The plate came with a load of creamy mashed potatoes, gravy and corn.  Add an Island soda to it and you have a great lunch.

The young lady running the place single handed told me she only table serves those she likes.  I feel so special!!!

On another occasion, I just wanted a snack so I grabbed a patty.  Then I had another one.  Then I forced myself to stop before I got stupid...

This place will be a regular for me.

Been 6 times. Food is friggin amazing. My only complaint is I end up over eating every time!!!

Great warm, welcoming service. There is love in this food!
